Luthersburg man is ‘Fugitive of the Week’ | Crime | theprogressnews …

Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr. announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of March 20.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Mark Hartzfeld, 33, of Luthersburg-Rockton Road, Luthersburg.

Shaw stated that Hartzfeld is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call held on March 9, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Oct. 6, 2016, DuBois-based state police Trooper Danielle Marshal-Hoare filed a criminal complaint charging Hartzfeld with access device fraud, a felony, and theft by unlawful taking, a misdemeanor.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Marshall-Hoare states that on Aug. 11, 2016, Marshall-Hoare was dispatched for the report of an employee theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with a supervisor who stated that an employee, identified as Hartzfeld, was allowed to use the business credit card for businesses purposes only.

However, upon review of financial statements, it was discovered that there were numerous discrepancies.

Irvona man is ‘Fugitive of the Week’ | Crime | theprogressnews.com

Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Jan. 3.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Todd Vereshack, 32, of Emma Street, Irvona.

Shaw stated that Vereshack is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing held on Nov. 23, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Oct. 24, Decatur Township Police Officer Joseph Witherite filed a criminal complaint charging Vereshack with corruption of minors, possession of a controlled substance, small amount of marijuana, use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

A complaint filed by Witherite states that on Oct. 8, officers were on routine patrol when they decided to check on a parked vehicle. At that time, officers observed a male, later identified as Vereshack, to be in the driver’s seat and a juvenile to be in the passenger seat. Officers were able to observe various pieces of drug paraphernalia throughout
