Most Wanted: Columbia police search for suspect shot during robbery attempt

COLUMBIA, Tenn. (WKRN) – Wanted on a charge of aggravated robbery, 20-year-old Markeno Sanchez Garrett is accused of fleeing from officers while being treated for a gunshot wound.

According to the Columbia Police Department, a man was driving from Willow Street onto Polk Street back on July 17, 2017 when he said Garrett, who was his passenger, pulled out a gun and tried to rob him.

The victim opened the car door and bailed as Garrett reportedly grabbed on and rolled out of the car with him.

The two fought on the ground until police said Garrett grabbed for his gun, and shots were exchanged between Garrett and his alleged victim.

Garrett was taken to a hospital for treatment, but the 20-year-old left before he could be taken into custody.

“We allowed him to get medical treatment, but when we went to go serve warrants on him, he disappeared,” Joseph Gideon with the Columbia Police

Police struggle with silent monks as search for France’s most wanted leads to monastery

Armed police raided a southern French monastery on Tuesday after reports that an elusive Catholic aristocrat suspected of murdering his entire family was hiding there.

Worshippers had sighted a man resembling Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès during masses at the monastery. The descendant of a French count, Dupont de Ligonnès is one of France’s most wanted fugitives. He has been on the run for nearly seven years following the massacre of his wife and four children, along with their two labradors – leading to comparisons with Lord Lucan in the UK

Twenty officers surrounded the monastery in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, a mediaeval village near Cannes where Duipont de Ligonnès was last seen leaving a budget hotel in 2011.

Initially police struggled to communicate with monks who have taken a vow of silence.

Authorities search for man wanted in fatal Cleveland shooting: fugitive of the week

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Federal and local authorities continue their search for a man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man in Cleveland’s Kamm’s Corner neighborhood. 

Melvin Jones shot and killed Desean Perkins Nov. 26 at a home in the 18000 block of Parkmount Avenue, west of Rocky River Drive, the Northern Ohio Violent Task Force said.

Jones, 26, was named the U.S. Marshals’ Fugitive of the week.

Perkins, 28, was found in the bathroom floor with a gunshot wound to his chest, according to police reports. He was taken to MetroHealth, where he died. 

A 21-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of aggravated murder in the death of Perkins, who has addresses in both Twinsburg and Euclid.

Jones is considered to be armed and dangerous and often visits the Rocky River Drive and Paramount Avenue areas officials said.

Police search for Lakewood bank robbery suspect – WKYC

Lakewood Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a bank robbery suspect, Monday.

According to reports, a man entered Dollar Bank located at 15509 Madison Avenue and gave the teller a note that demanded money and stated that he had a weapon.

The suspect is described as a 5’5” tall skinny, white male wearing blue latex gloves, gray coat that said construction on the back.

No injuries were reported.

Tulsa Police search for most wanted man

TULSA–Police are asking for help to locate a man wanted in connection with a September shooting death.

Tulsa Police are looking for Robert Nataski Cowan AKA Lul Robbie. 

Nataski is described at 6”05” and weighing 150lbs. 

TPD says that in September 15, 2017 at 3:30am officers responded to the Haney’s convenience store located at 911 E. 36th Street North in reference to a shooting.

TPD says that one of the victims, Walter Hogan, died as a result of a bullet wound.

The Tulsa District Attorney’s Office has approved charges for the above listed individual in reference to the listed case. Cowan has several additional charges related to the listed incident.

The police are also seeking any additional information that would lead to apprehension of the person or people responsible for crime.  Citizens can remain anonymous by calling 918-596-COPS.

US Marshals search for abusive ex who beat woman, left her to die

PANOLA COUNTY, Miss. — For the past year, Barbara Hamilton has been living in fear.

“Everywhere I go, I got to watch my back,” she told WREG.

According to the Panola County Sheriff’s Department, her ex-boyfriend, Antonio Carter, is wanted for beating her within inches of her life, and even causing her to lose an eye. He has a history of violent behavior especially against women.

“He`s just out there like a predator looking for the next female victim,” said Investigator Terry Smith.

Hamilton and Carter have known each other for most of their lives. He was a completely different person when they first met, she said.

“He started out real nice,” she said, but things quickly took a turn and he started beating her.
