FBI Releases Photos of Alleged Hijackers of Neerja’s Pan Am Flight

The 5 September, 1986 storming of Pan Am Flight 73 which had landed in Karachi from Mumbai resulted in the killing of 20 passengers and crew, including two Americans, the attempted murder of 379 passengers and crew, and the wounding of more than 100 persons on board.

The Department of State Rewards for Justice Programme offers a reward of up to USD 5 million each for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the alleged hijackers.

Each of these individuals are believed to have been members of the Abu Nidal Organization (ANO), previously on the U S State Department’s list of designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations.

Each of them currently are on the list of FBI’s most wanted terrorists.

Muhammad Abdullah Khalil is a wanted terrorist in the US.
Ms Bhanot, who headed the attendants on the flight, lost her life in protecting the passengers.

She was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for her bravery.

FBI Releases Age-Progressed Photos of Four Most Wanted Terrorists from Pan Am Flight 73 Hijacking

Anyone with information regarding these terrorists is asked to contact the FBI, the nearest American Embassy or Consulate, or submit a tip on tips.fbi.gov (tipsters can remain anonymous).

Individuals on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List have been indicted by sitting federal grand juries in various jurisdictions in the United States for the crimes reflected on their wanted posters. The indictments currently listed on the posters allow them to be arrested and brought to justice. Illinois man who made FBI’s ‘Ten Most Wanted’ list charged with murder, unlawful flight – WLS

A Chicago man who made the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted” list was charged Monday with first-degree murder. He also faces federal charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution after his arrest Sunday at O’Hare International Airport.

Luis Macedo had been on the run for eight years and was arrested in Guadalajara, Mexico, by Mexican federal immigration officers in coordination with the FBI. Former FBI director James Comey had placed Macedo on the “Ten Most Wanted” list in 2016 with a $100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

Macedo was charged for his alleged participation in the 2009 murder of 15-year-old Alex Arellano in the 3000-block of West 54th Place in Chicago’s Gage Park neighborhood. Arellano was beaten with baseball bats, shot, run over with a car and set on fire because he refused to “throw up a crown” for the Latin Kings gang, police said.
