‘Salem’s Most Wanted’ highlights police use of social media – Eagle

SALEM, N.H. — Bad news travels fast. Social media makes it travel faster.

That’s why the Salem Police Department is testing a new feature on its own Facebook profile: Salem’s Most Wanted.

The weekly post — or bi-weekly or monthly, depending on when they get around to it, in their words — features a photo of a person wanted by the department, their name and alleged crime, and a plea for tips on their whereabouts.
