Texas ’10 Most Wanted’ Fugitive Captured in Woodland Hills

One of Texas’ most wanted fugitives has been captured following a short pursuit in Woodland Hills early Tuesday.

Police received a tip about 10 p.m. Monday from authorities in Dallas that Christopher Gonzalez, a fugitive on the state’s “10 Most Wanted” list, was in the Woodland Hills area, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Luis De la Luz said.

Dallas police had apparently been following Gonzalez’s social media sites and reached out to the LAPD after noticing a livestream on the 18-year-old’s Instagram account, De la Luz said.

Officers located Gonzalez and another man near the intersection of Serrania Avenue and Wells Drive, but the two quickly fled the scene, De la Luz said.

Texas ’10 Most Wanted’ Fugitive Captured In Woodland Hills

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA) — A known gang member and one of Texas’ ten most wanted criminals captured in Woodland Hills overnight after authorities tracked him down via social media.

Christopher Ricardo Gonzalez, 18, who also goes by the moniker of “Little Chris” was captured at the end of a foot chase following a two-mile police pursuit.

Gonzalez is wanted out of Dallas for a variety of felonies, including robbery, weapons, drugs, and homicide, and his wanted poster says he has a history of evading arrest.

Texas officials say they were able to track him down when he posted a video of himself showing off some of his guns on Instagram.

A second man who was with Gonzalez was also taken into custody, but has not yet been identified. Both men had to be treated at a hospital for dog bites from a K9 officer.

FBI 10 Most Wanted Fugitive, Accused of NJ Slaying, Captured in Virginia

One of the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives, who was accused of a 2011 killing in New Jersey, was arrested in Virginia, authorities said. 

Walter Gomez was arrested without incident in Virginia on Friday evening, the FBI said. 

The FBI says Gomez and a co-conspirator in Plainfield struck Julio Matute in the head with a bat, sliced his throat and stabbed him in the back 17 times with a screwdriver because he was suspected of socializing with a rival gang. The co-conspirator was convicted in the slaying.

The FBI had offered a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of Gomez.

Alleged MS-13 Gang Member on FBI’s ‘Most Wanted’ List Captured in Virginia

An alleged MS-13 gang member on the FBI’s “10 Most Wanted” list was captured Friday, authorities said, after going on the run in connection with a brutal 2011 slaying in New Jersey.

Agents apprehended Walter Yovany Gomez without incident in Woodbridge, Virginia, said Tim Gallagher, the special agent in charge of the FBI’s Newark Division.

“Tips all along had generated interest in the Washington, D.C., area and a tip from the general public placed him in northern Virginia,” Gallagher said.

The FBI confirmed on Saturday morning that after a four year manhunt it has captured one of the bureau’s 10 Most Wanted criminals, who was sought in connection with a brutal 2011 murder in New Jersey.

Walter Yovany Gomez, whom the FBI refers to as a New Jersey gang member, was apprehended in Woodbridge, Virginia by local law enforcement.

Gomez was wanted in connection with his alleged involvement in the murder of Julio Matute in Plainfield, New Jersey in May 2011. The murder was allegedly part of an initiation into the international criminal gang Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13).

The FBI said that Gomez was arrested without incident. The bureau is crediting public assistance for his apprehension.

US Marshal’s ‘Fugitive of the Week’ Captured from Tips Received

Multiple tips were received regarding last week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Kyle Bernard Joyce, 31, indicating that Joyce was observed in the area of Queen City Avenue in Manchester, NH.

The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force quickly distributed this information to the Manchester Police Department which was in turn, put out to all patrol units in Manchester.

This successful partner sharing resulted in the quick arrest of Joyce and his girlfriend Melinda Braley, Thursday, 36 on several outstanding arrest warrants.
