Suspect eludes capture for 2nd day in Marion County, Tenn., manhunt [photos]

Authorities in Marion County, Tenn., called off for the evening an ongoing manhunt on Tuesday after a robbery suspect on the loose near Whitwell eluded capture for a second day.

Suspect DeWayne Half-acre has been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Top 10 Most Wanted list and is thought to be armed and dangerous.

“We’ve done everything I know to do and just haven’t found him yet,” Marion County Sheriff Ronnie “Bo” Burnett said Tuesday night.

Timothy Howell, 51, of Madison, Tenn., was taken into custody on Monday while Halfacre, the man police said is his partner, remained at large, prompting the massive manhunt in the area between Whitwell and Powells Crossroads in eastern Marion County.

Police capture Aryan Nations member wanted in connection with shooting of officer

A confirmed member of the Aryan Nations white supremacist group who was wanted in connection with the shooting of a Tennessee police officer was captured early Saturday morning, police said.

Ronnie Lucas Wilson was put on Tennessee’s Top 10 Most Wanted list on Friday after authorities identified him as the suspect who opened fire and wounded a veteran Knoxville police officer during a traffic stop Thursday evening. He was found in an abandoned residence in neighboring Blount County, authorities said.

“CAPTURED! Wilson was just now located in Blount County,” tweeted the Knoxville Police Department at 3:37 a.m. Saturday.

Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong said in a statement later Saturday morning, “Wilson is receiving treatment at a local hospital for injuries he sustained when he jumped out of a window of the residence.”

Police capture Aryan Nations gang member wanted in connection with police officer shooting

A confirmed member of the Aryan Nations white supremacist gang who was put on Tennessee’s Top 10 Most Wanted list on Friday after authorities identified him as the suspect who opened fire and wounded a veteran Knoxville police officer during a traffic stop Thursday evening has been captured, police said early Saturday morning.

“CAPTURED! Wilson was just now located in Blount County,” tweeted the Knoxville Police Department at 3:37 a.m, of Ronnie Lucas Wilson.

The 31-year-old man is believed to be the motorist who jumped out of his car and without warning opened fire multiple times on Officer Jay Williams, who had pulled him over on Washington Pike in Knoxville about 8:30 p.m.

Since 2007, The United States Marshals Service has been partnered with Peter St. James and the “NH Wake Up Show” featuring the “Fugitive of the Week” program for the State of New Hampshire.

Over the years, the program has grown to be a feature that the public looks forward to each week and the fugitives cringe at the thought of being the “Fugitive of the Week.”

Sixteen-year-old Filipino who helped soldiers capture one of the FBI’s most wanted terrorists in ISIS stronghold …

A rescued 16-year-old hostage helped Philippine soldiers hunt down one of the FBI’s most-wanted terror suspects and his accomplice during the final battle against the Islamic State in the southern city of Marawi.

Isnilon Hapilon, IS’s ’emir’ in Southeast Asia, and Omarkhayam Maute, another leader of the Marawi siege, were killed in gun battle on Monday in a push by troops to retake the last pocket of the city.

A teen hostage who had been rescued by troops provided the crucial information that allowed troops to locate Hapilon and Maute in one building in Marawi.

The US State Department has offered a reward of up to $5million for Hapilon, who Washington blames for ransom kidnappings of several Americans, one of whom was beheaded in 2001 in southern Basilan province.

Fugitive of the Week: Reward available for information on leading to capture of fugitive

CONNEAUT, Ohio (WKBN) – The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Joshua Gurto.

Gurto is wanted by the United States Marshals Service and the Conneaut Police Department, accused of the aggravated murder and rape of a 13-month-old girl.

Gurto, 37, was described as a white male, about 5’10” tall and weighing 145 pounds. Gurto has ties to Ashtabula County and western Pennsylvania.

CONCORD — U.S. Marshals captured New Hampshire’s just featured Fugitive of the Week on Wednesday morning during a traffic stop with a known associate, according to a press release from the U.S. Marshals Service in Concord.

Eric D. Lassonde, 25, had been wanted on multiple outstanding arrest warrants, including a probation violation stemming from an original burglary conviction, two warrants for violating protective orders and another for assault. Those warrants were issued by both Merrimack County and the Boscawen Police Department.
