Fugitive of the Week, Ralph Lewis Owens in custody | amarillo.com

A man wanted for murder after he allegedly ran over his girlfriend last year is back in custody, according to the Amarillo Police Department.

Ralph Lewis Owens, 29, turned himself in to the Potter County Sheriff’s Office at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday after APD asked for the public’s assistance in locating him at about 8:45 a.m.Owens had been wanted out of Potter County on a bond surrender for an original charge of murder after he allegedly ran his girlfriend over with a car in the spring of 2016.

He was indicted on the murder charge by a Potter County Grand Jury on June 8, 2016, according to a search of public records, and the case status is still pending.

A search of public records in Potter County revealed that Lewis bonded out on Nov. 21 on a $100,000 bond in 108th District Court.

APD’s Fugitive of the Week surrenders | amarillo.com

The Amarillo Crime Stoppers’ Fugitive of the Week has been arrested after he turned himself in to the police Friday morning.

Thomas Edward Romaine, 37, had been wanted in Potter County on two warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Romaine reportedly walked into the Amarillo Police Department at 8:15 a.m. Friday and surrendered. He was later transported to the Potter County Detention Center where he was booked on his two felony warrants.
