NH fugitive sex offender arrested at Mass. restaurant

CONCORD — A sex offender and recent New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week has been arrested at a Haverhill, Massachusetts, restaurant, according to the U.S. Marshals office in Concord.

The U.S. Marshal’s fugitive task force from Massachusetts, along with members of the Haverhill Police Department were able to safely arrest “Fugitive of the Week,” Benjamin Rodriguez, 45, at a local restaurant.

Rodriguez had been featured as the “Fugitive of the Week” on Feb. 7. The “Fugitive of the Week” had been aired on WTPL-FM, WMUR-TV, The Union Leader, The Nashua Telegraph, The Patch, Foster’s Daily Democrat, Manchester Information, the Manchester Ink Link and prominently featured on the internet. The “Fugitive of the Week” has been a very successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007, according to the Marshals.
