Fugitive allegedly eats 30 bags of heroin during traffic stop A 27-year-old fugitive from Scranton told authorities he ate 30 bags of heroin as the car in which he was a passenger was pulled over Thursday night by Northampton County sheriff’s deputies in Bethlehem.

Joshua Michael Liedke, who failed in July to return to the department of corrections work-release site inWest Easton where he was serving a drug sentence, was tracked for several recent days by deputies from the Criminal Warrants Unit, thesheriff’s department said in a news release.

The car was pulled over at 7:30 p.m. by deputies Geoffrey Perry and Deanna Wagner of the Field Operations Unit on the Second Street Ramp, the department said.
