The FBI has added a man with ties to Arizona to its Ten Most Wanted Fugitive list, the agency announced Tuesday.
Alejandro Castillo, 18, is accused of unlawful flight to avoid being charged with the murder of a former girlfriend and coworker in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 2016.
The FBI is offering a reward up to $100,000 for information leading to his capture.
Prosecutors say Castillo forced 23-year-old Truc Quan “Sandy” Ly Le to withdraw a large sum of cash from an ATM and drove her to a remote area, where he shot Le in the head and dumped her body in a ravine.
It is believed that Castillo contacted Le on the guise of repaying the $1,000 he borrowed from her. Text messages between the two show they agreed to meet in Charlotte on August 9,
