Akron man sought in porch slaying of another man: Fugitive of the …

AKRON, Ohio — Law enforcement officials are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of an Akron man in connection with the shooting death of another man last month. 

Malik Shabazz Baldwin, 26. 

Malik Shabazz Baldwin, 26, is accused of shooting and killing  LeMichael Stevenson, 24, June 6 about 9 p.m. on Sumner Street near East Crosier Street in Akron, the U.S. Marshal’s office said. Baldwin has been named the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive of the Week. 

Authorities said Stevenson was shot while he was on his porch. He later died at Summa Akron City Hospital. 

Summit County court records list a bevy of charges for Baldwin dating back to 2011. The charges range from gun and drug possession to assault and evidence tampering.

US Marshal’s ‘Fugitive of the Week’ Captured from Tips Received

“We are thankful for the high quality tips that were received… which led to the safe arrests of both Joyce and Braley.”

Multiple tips were received regarding last week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Kyle Bernard Joyce, 31, indicating that Joyce was observed in the area of Queen City Avenue in Manchester, NH.

The US Marshals Fugitive Task Force quickly distributed this information to the Manchester Police Department which was in turn, put out to all patrol units in Manchester.

This successful partner sharing resulted in the quick arrest of Joyce and his girlfriend Melinda Braley, Thursday, 36 on several outstanding arrest warrants.

FBI, ATF Double Reward for Fugitive Diego Barros Pires

The FBI Boston Division’s Southeastern Massachusetts Gang Task Force and the ATF’s Boston Field Division are doubling the reward and continuing to seek the public’s assistance in locating Diego Barros Pires, an alleged member of a violent street gang in Brockton, Massachusetts.

On March 22, 2017, Diego Pires, also known as “Smurf” or “Do It,” was indicted, along with three other associates, and an arrest warrant was issued out of U.S. District Court in Boston, Massachusetts. Pires was charged with kidnapping and aiding and abetting. He is wanted for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping of one adult and two minors in Brockton and Quincy, Massachusetts. Pires is considered armed and dangerous.

Pires is a 24-year-old Cape Verdean male who is a legal U.S. citizen, with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5’8” in height and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He last resided at 5 Madrid Square, Apartment 7 in Brockton,

Northampton County authorities seek Thomas Schoenberger – fugitive of the week

Thomas Schoenberger, 43, is wanted to appear for a probation violation hearing on a charge of criminal trespass, according to the Northampton County Sheriff’s Department. 

Schoenberger, last known to frequent the Bethlehem area, is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

The sheriff’s department asks anyone with information about Schoenberger to call Sgt. Michael Orchulli at 610-829-6520.

Warren County authorities seek Marcos Ramirez – fugitive of the week

Marcos M. Ramirez, 45, is wanted on a charge of leaving the scene of a crash, under a warrant dated Feb. 24, 2017, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

Ramirez, whose last-known address was in the first block of Water Street in Vienna, N.J., is described as 5 feet 4 inch tall and 175 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The prosecutor’s office asks anyone with information about Ramirez to contact investigators via a tip line at 908-475-6643, the fugitive unit at 908-475-6272 or via fugitive@co.warren.nj.us.

CLEARFIELD – A 40-year-old Clearfield man, Scott Hockenberry, is Fugitive of the Week, according to District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr.

Hockenberry is wanted for failure to appear at revocation court on June 26 and arraignment court on June 28, and warrants have been issued for his arrest.

On April 26, Officer Daniel Podliski of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Hockenberry.

Podliski charged Hockenberry with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, F; criminal use of a communications facility, F3; dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, F1; and possession of a controlled substance, M.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Feb. 18, officers executed a search warrant to continue their investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine.
